I never realized that for most of my life
I always thought that someone or something was to blame for my feelings
Case in point…
If I didn’t hear the harsh words someone said about me, I wouldn’t feel bad
If I didn’t know that someone had died, I wouldn’t be sad
But, just as soon as I make that situation mean something, through the thoughts I have, I have a choice of how I am going to feel
