When was the last time you checked your progress?
Was it yesterday? Last week? January 1st? Or never?!?!?!?
When we set goals– when we have projects we want to complete– it is important to set “review time”
Time to review what was accomplished and why AND what wasn’t accomplished and why
How do you know if you are getting closer to your big goal?
I recommend a weekly check-in
At the beginning of the week, decide what result you want and what tasks are needed to accomplish that result
Then put all those tasks on your calendar and get things done!
At the end of the week, evaluate your activities and whether or not you met your goal
Adjust as needed for the next week
Keep doing this process weekly and you will see the progress continue
You can also take this same format each month
Look at what you want to accomplish this next month, break it down by week, and set tasks to complete accordingly
It really is a simple process
So why don’t most of us do it?
Because we don’t want to do the work when it is time to do it.
